Sky Cash Seaberry (Director/Choreographer/Asst. Production Mgr.)- is thrilled to have begun her journey with the Fort Collins Children’s Theatre. She has directed all over Colorado both professionally and for various schools/productions. Her most notable accomplishment in her experience with kiddos of all ages, was building the very first children’s program at the Candlelight Dinner Theater. Professionally, Sky began her career as a child landing her first notable role as the lead in the NYCB’s “The Nutcracker”. Next she played the title role in “The Bad Seed” with Sandy Dennis at the Cape Cod Playhouse. Since then she has traveled nationally and internationally with shows such as “A Chorus Line '', “West Side Story”, “Damn Yankees,” to name a few. Much love to John, Tasia, Rori and Chille!

Aimee Woods (Music Director) You've probably seen her music directing and conducting our fall productions! When she is not music directing Aimee teaches educational clinics and master classes, is Vice President of the Colorado/Wyoming Chapter of National Association of Teachers of Singing, and is the Director and a Master Teacher at Songwoods Studio. Aimee has performed professional opera and musical theater all along the front range and earned her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from CSU. She sends gratitude with warm hugs to Jeremy and Susannah. “Sing your own song!”

 

Cast Bios

Leah Baechle (Edwina Spoonapple) is so excited to return to live performance with FCCT! Past roles include Hero in Much Ado About Nothing at St. Mary’s University of Minnesota, Heidi in Fuddy Meers at the Wimbledon Studio Theatre in London, and Ensemble/Dance Captain in James and the Giant Peach and Ensemble/Wendy u/s in Peter Pan with FCCT. She studied Theatre, English Literature and Spanish at St. Mary’s University of Minnesota as well as acting at the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin, Ireland. She sends love and thanks to her family and Taylor. Enjoy the show!

Alyssa Baechle (Kelli/Fairy Forkmother) is excited to be returning to the stage with FCCT. Past shows include James and the Giant Peach (Earthworm), The Little Mermaid (Maid, ensemble), Mary Poppins (Ms. Smythe), and Beauty and the Beast (ensemble). She recently graduated from Colorado State University with a BA in Voice and double minor in German and Business Administration. She is a private piano and violin teacher and enjoys reading, dancing, and playing with dogs.

Chase Gould (Scott Kunkle/Ziggy Montego) is a sophomore in high school and loves all of the arts. He is happy to be in the cast of Dear Edwina. Shows he has previously been in with the Fort Collins Children’s Theatre include The Lion King Jr., Into the Woods Jr. as the Baker, and Frozen Jr. as Hans. He sends love and thanks to his family and hopes that you all enjoy the show!

Julia Duffy (Annie Smith Johnson/Susie) is thrilled to be performing live again with FCCT! Julia studied Vocal Performance at NYU in the studio of Paul Speiser. Some favorite past roles include George in The Drowsy Chaperone, and Renee/ensemble in GYPSY with NYU. Julia is also a writer, producer, and star of the award-nominated fictional audio drama Things Unsaid, which is available wherever you get your podcasts. Much love to Julia’s incredible family, who support her every day!

Benjamin Koenig (Billy/Johnny/Frankenguest) is an 8th grader at Webber Middle School where he participates in the advanced choir and Jazz programs. Ben began acting in a Webber production of the musical Lollies, and went on to perform with Diva Bee Academy as Harry Wormwood in Matilda, Smee in Peter Pan and Papa Bear in Shrek. His interests include tennis, D&D, reading and Odyssey of the Mind. He hopes to attend West POint and serve as a US Army Ranger in the future.

     

Katie Erkman (Bobby Newsome/Uncle Vladimir) is delighted to be a part of the Dear Edwina cast. Her other performances include: 13 the Musical and High School Musical at Midtown Arts Academy. She loves the opportunity to be in a production and grow. She has pushed herself outside of her comfort zone to perform in a production. She loves math and science and wanted a new experience. Katie loves the community Dear Edwina has provided and the push to express herself in theater.

Sierra Melton (Carrie/Mary Sue, US Kelli/Annie) is excited to be part of her first FCCT production! Some of her favorite roles have included Liesl in The Sound of Music (Jesters Dinner Theater), Meg in Little Women (Colorado College), and Toby in Sweeney Todd (BDT Academy). She is a geosciences PhD Candidate at Penn State, studying glaciers and climate and working remotely from Fort Collins to finish her degree. Much love to Tewabe, who is seeing her perform live for the first time!

Lewis Boyd (Hephaestus/Farmer Jerry, US Bobby/Billy) is ecstatic to return to the stage with Fort Collins Children's Theatre. A selection of his previous performances include The Little Mermaid (Fort Collins Children's Theatre), James and the Giant Peach (Fort Collins Children's Theatre), and Cinderella (Loveland Opera Theatre). He works at LongPath Technologies in Boulder, CO monitoring methane emissions and is thrilled to be part of this show.

Taylor Jean (TJ) Vander Woude (Katie Spoonapple/Abigail) is a 7th grader at Blevins Middle School, where she is currently rehearsing for her role as Olaf in Frozen in May. A Fort Collins resident since July of 2018, TJ made her FCCT debut as JoJo in Seussical Jr. last June, and has also been part of the Centennial Children’s Choir and the Poudre School District Honor Choir. She is excited to be here in front of you today to share her love of singing and acting!

Karina Sanchez (Lola/ Periwinkle) is very excited to be a part of this production of Dear Edwina. She always enjoyed acting, she played Oompaloompa #7 in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (at Jesters Dinner Theater). Before her first legit performance she loved making skits to perform for her class. Some of her favorite hobbies involve painting, drawing, and playing on her trampoline.

Anais Ingram (Ann VanBuren/Queen of Boola Boola) is very happy to be in the cast of Dear Edwina. Some of her performances include Lefty in Casey at the Bat (Debut Theater), Detective Babs Doyle in Lucky Dollar - Private Eye (Debut Theater), and Alice in Alice in Wonderland (La-De-Da Performing Arts). She hopes she is able to be seen in more performances in the future.
