Fort Collins Children's Theatre is proud to announce FCCT+, our new branch of theatre offerings! FCCT has provided safe spaces for personal and cultural growth since the 1950s. Through FCCT+, we will expand upon that mission by offering workshops in partnership with awesome creatives and mental health professionals within our Fort Collins community!
Stage Makeup 101 - Sunday, August 24th, 1:30pm-3:30pm

Put your best face forward! Learn the basics of theatrical makeup, including learning how to use cream-based makeup and the best tools for hygienic application. Discover how to best use the contours of your face, how to use highlight and shadow, and what to have in your stage makeup kit. Most productions ask you to do your own base makeup… this workshop will help you to do that successfully!
Recommended materials to bring to class: Ben Nye Personal Student Theatrical Creme Kit. This can be found at Life of the Party store in Fort Collins or online. $26.00

This is your chance to dance! And not only to dance, but to create your own choreography for yourself and others! On Tuesdays, learn how to turn improvisation into choreography and dance a group piece. Try out some individual choreography for yourself. And choreograph for a small group! On Thursdays, learn how to work with the technical crew in theatre - music, sound, lighting, costumes… what would you do to help bring your vision to the stage?! Show off your choreography at a showcase performance! Find community in choreography!
Recommended materials: comfortable clothing that is easy to move in and not too loose, and comfortable flat shoes, water bottle
West African Drumming Workshop - Tuesdays, 6:00pm-7:00pm, 6 weeks

Join us for a fun hour of drumming! Learn the fundamentals of how to create the three basic sounds on the djembe. Build proper hand technique to play comfortably and confidently. Learn a traditional West African rhythm. Connect with the music, yourself, and others in a welcoming environment! If you are brand new to drumming, you’ll learn the foundations to get started. If you have experience, you’ll be challenged to play different phrases and traditional dunun! Let’s make some beautiful noise!
Drums are provided or bring your own. Recommended materials for those with sensory needs: Music ear plugs.
