Fort Collins Children's Theatre is proud to announce FCCT+, our new branch of theatre offerings! FCCT has provided safe spaces for personal and cultural growth since the 1950s. Through FCCT+, we will expand upon that mission by offering workshops in partnership with awesome creatives and mental health professionals within our Fort Collins community!

Stage Makeup 101 - Sunday, September 21st, 1:00pm-3:30pm

Put your best face forward! Learn the basics of theatrical makeup, including learning how to use cream-based makeup and the best tools for hygienic application. Discover how to best use the contours of your face, how to use highlight and shadow, and what to have in your stage makeup kit. Most productions ask you to do your own base makeup… this workshop will help you to do that successfully!

 

Recommended materials to bring to class: Ben Nye Personal Student Theatrical Creme Kit. This can be found at Life of the Party store in Fort Collins or online. $26.00

This is your chance to dance! And not only to dance, but to create your own choreography for yourself and others! On Tuesdays, learn how to turn improvisation into choreography and dance a group piece. Try out some individual choreography for yourself. And choreograph for a small group! On Thursdays, learn how to work with the technical crew in theatre - music, sound, lighting, costumes… what would you do to help bring your vision to the stage?! Show off your choreography at a showcase performance! Find community in choreography!

Sarah learned from Colorado’s very own Sylvia Gregory and has applied these tips to her own materials to great success! Learn how to find the right materials for you - gather options for different genres of shows! Bring your own options or look through what Sarah brings to class. And learn how to find other materials out there in the universe! Then create 2 minute audition packages and work through them in mock auditions with feedback! You’ll leave this workshop ready to rock your next audition!

Audition Cut Music Selections!

Mondays, October 20th-November 10th, 5:30pm-7:30pm, 4 weeks

Bring your own music selections or use ones Austin provides. Learn how to find music selections that fit your voice and style of the show for which you are auditioning! Learn how to mark your music for a live accompanist and how to select the right measures. Get feedback during a mock audition for music only. And understand how to present yourself in a musical audition. You will leave this class with music selections fit for you, and ready for your next audition!
