FCCT Seeking Part-Time Marketing and Social Media Manager (Independent Contractor)

Skills/Functions:

FCCT is seeking a part-time marketing and social media manager.

Necessary skills include:

  • Copywriting

  • Social media messaging and design

  • Basic graphic design

  • Marketing

It will be necessary to have knowledge of how to use the following platforms:

  • Facebook

  • Instagram

  • Wix

  • Mailchimp

  • EventsFrame

Job Description:

Fort Collins Children’s Theatre is a nonprofit arts organization that has been serving Northern Colorado for more than 60 years. Our mission is: Engaging youth and adults through theatrical experiences in order to enrich, inspire, and entertain.


The role of the marketing and social media manager will include these ongoing monthly tasks:

  • Posting a blog on the website once a month.

  • Sending out a newsletter once a month.

  • Creating 3 unique social media posts per week and posting them to Facebook and Instagram.

Content will be submitted to an FCCT representative for approval prior to posting. During production times, FCCT will request that promotional content be included.

Contractor will be compensated for these ongoing monthly tasks with a consistent monthly retainer for services (see below for compensation).

Additional projects that may be required include:

  • Creating content and making updates to the website to include information about productions, programs, ticket sales, etc.

  • Creating events on EventsFrame (or another agreed upon event platform) and downloading ticket ordering information to share with FCCT.

  • Creating Google Forms

  • Creating graphics for posters and other promotional material

  • Generating QR codes

This is not an all-inclusive list of additional work that may be required.

It is expected that the contractor would be able to manage occasional additional projects as part of his or her workload. These additional projects will occur especially leading up to programs and productions (in the summer and fall). These projects should not require more than an additional 5 hours per month. It is understood that the contractor will have other client organizations, and we want to make sure that an additional 5 hours per month will not conflict with the client’s other work load. Contractor will be compensated for these additional projects on an hourly basis.

Compensation:

Monthly retainer: $250 Hourly when required: $30


This is a contract position, not an employed position, and no other benefits are provided in association with this position.
